Topic: Pope Francis' Visit to Korea
Guest: Father ±èÄ¡Çå (Korean jesuit) & Mr. John Paul Shimek (Roman Catholic theologian and specialist on Vatican affairs)

Segment Introduction
Host:
It seems like the entire country is excited to hear the news on Pope Francis' arrival in Korea today. As you already heard in our news segment, Pope Francis arrived in Seoul this morning at around 10:30AM, kicking off his five-day visit to the country. Today's visit by the pontiff is quite historical as it is Pope Francis' first trip to Asia since being chosen to lead the Roman Catholic Church and the first papal trip to Korea in nearly 25 years. The pope's visit to the heart of Asia has attracted a lot of media attention around the globe, raising some important questions. Why has Pope Francis headed to Korea this time? What messages will he bring to the Korea Peninsula still technically in a state of war and to the country still gripped by the tragic sinking of the Sewol ferry? Today, we will get internal as well as external views on the papal visit. First, we are now joined by Father ±èÄ¡Çå. He is a Korean Jesuit.

Welcome to the show, Father Kim!
