STORY

Happy New Year! First day of January 2015!
First things first. I'd like to thank our listeners for starting it off with the 'wake up crew'.

2014 went by with a blink of an eye, and it seems like we say that year after year. Where have the days gone, getting older by the minute.. And what have we done so far? Let's just take last year for example. It was my third year since I came last August. It seems like I didn't get anything done. I feel like I'm in the same place with a little improvement.

Then I see my friends and fellow classmates all updating their statuses with "Finally graduated.. Class of 2014" and here I am, not even attending college. What am I doing while they're studying and learning about their majors?

In case there are any people similar to me, I'll tell ya. I am making a living. Sure I may have not attended university for 4 years, graduated, gotten a diploma, gotten married and have kids. I skipped that and got a job. I have a career. Everyone's life is different. We could have the same destination, but we could also have different routes.

For the longest time I'd wonder about my future and past. But why do we worry about things we can't control? For my New Year's Resolution I'm not going to lost weight, not going to eat healthier or save more money. I'm going to learn how to be content. Not happy, not satisfied. Content. So for those people out there who had a year that didn't go as planned, it's alright. It never really does.

After all, we ain't no fortune teller.

Happy New Year!

It's time to start over, time to start again! I have promises to make, resolutions to keep and a calendar to organise. It's easy to make all these plans, but to be honest the hardest part is keeping on schedule, making sure you hold your resolve and not just starting the year off right, but keeping it going as the months go by.

What are my resolutions this year? I've got a few, but I'm not sure if I can keep them all, so I figured if I announced them on this show then I'd have to do my best to stick with them. Here goes...

Number one - It's time to get fit, lose weight and shape up. I'm the wrong side of thirty five and I know I can be fitter, stronger and slimmer. So this year will see me exercise, eat more healthily and hopefully turn into a thinner, better man!

Number two - Goodbye cheese, chocolate and beer! Well, maybe not goodbye for good, but goodbye to overindulgence in the most delicious things in life.

Number three - Time to read. I love books, but I have to say that 2014 wasn't my most productive year when it came to reading. I have plenty of unread tomes on my shelves and I need to peruse them.

Number four - Go out more! This year I want to travel and explore, find places in Seoul and Korea I have never seen before. Visit new museums, temples, restaurants and meet new people.

Whatever your resolutions are I hope you can stick to them! I'll try to stick to mine. That's a promise! Here's Echo and the Bunnymen
