It effectively ends the boycott he launched last week after Floor Leader Chung Jin-suk held a controversial vote to reinstate seven independent lawmakers - most of whom are part of the anti-Park Geun-hye faction. Kim's decision to return came after Chung apologized in a face-to-face meeting yesterday. Kim will appoint a new secretary-general later this morning and then attend a meeting of the party's innovation committee. Meanwhile, the party members loyal to President Park plan also plan to meet today to address the ongoing factional conflict.■
