Dec. 1 marks exactly one year since the inception of the nation`s leading English radio channel.
The concert, entitled "A Year and Beyond," will bring together a host of talent from both home and overseas.
Jazz artist Steve Barakatt is one such performer. The Canadian-born New Age pianist will be playing at M Theater at Sejong hall tonight, along with popular Korean artists such as 2PM and See Ya.
Traditional Korean singer Yum Kyung-ae and Rose Jang, a renowned popera singer, will also be taking part in the celebrations that will be aired live.
Nanta, the mega-hit nonverbal performance featuring artists drumming on various kitchen utensils will also be joining the program.
"We have designed the concert so that everyone, both foreign nationals and Koreans, can come and enjoy several genres of music," said Kim Kyoung-rae tbs eFM`s senior producer. "This is our way of saying thank you to our listeners and everyone else who has seen our station through over the past year."
Ahn Jung-hyun, the presenter of "The Evening Show" on tbs eFM and Stuart Reece who hosts "Rough Around the Edges" will be co-hosting today`s event.
The station said the concert was a culmination of its year-long efforts to cater to the English-speaking community in Korea.
All the programs at tbs eFM are in English only, and programs run 24 hours a day.
